Bug fixes • Hard work is happening this week, but nothing that we can easily describe. It’s like a duck swimming on a pond. Under the water, the duck is paddling furiously, but on top, all that can be seen is the gentle gliding of a bird on water. This week, Slack is the duck.

Bug fixes • Everything is an itty-bitty bit better than it was before. Trust us.

Bug fixes • Forwarded emails were crashing the party in disguise, showing up in channels wearing the icon and name of totally unrelated apps. Turns out that's not appropriate business attire. The masquerade is over, and these emails will now be clearly labeled as themselves.

Bug fixes • No big fixes to bring your attention to this week, but rest assured, there will be more in the future. Not that introducing bugs is our aim, of course. But missteps, adjustments, errors and corrections – these are the rhythms of life and the price of growth. Bug fixes • Dismissing the keyboard with a quick downward swipe sometimes resulted in the message input field getting stuck in the center of the screen. The keyboard and input will once again stick together like the best friends they are, moving in and out of view in tandem.

Bug fixes • HDR videos weren't playing back correctly on iOS. A world this vivid deserves an app that can keep up, and now ours does.

Bug fixes • Photoshop files pulled a disappearing act when shared in the same message as an image, leaving the image preview as the only visible element. This is now fixed, allowing PSD and PNG files to once again coexist peacefully.

Bug fixes • Button, button, who's got the button? Workflows with Salesforce links certainly did not — those buttons couldn't be tapped on iOS. This update should button things up nicely.

Bug fixes • Regrettably, some emoji were not rendering in canvases when viewed on the mobile app. If each of those little pictograms is indeed worth a thousand words, then we owe you a whole lot of characters under the current exchange rate. Might we submit that an app update is actually worth a thousand emoji? No? Fair enough.

Bug fixes • Is it something in the air? A certain je ne sais quoi that’s hard to put a finger on? The world seems brighter, music sounds sweeter ... what could it be? The Slack app has been updated, and we can neither confirm nor deny that we’re responsible for any lightness that descends upon you.

Bug fixes • Ever have those weeks when it feels like nothing’s happening, but then you look back later and realise a lot of things were actually happening? This is one of those weeks for the app.

Bug fixes • If you created a custom filter in the Activity view to show only @mentions of your name, we were also displaying messages mentioning your keywords and user groups. Looks like there were some holes in that filter of ours. It's fixed now — don't mention it.

Bug fixes • In some cases, the Home view was loading in ever-so-slightly scrolled down from where it should have been. All the elements were still in view, but it just wasn't quite right. When you care about your guests, you want everything to be just so — and we do care about you — so please enjoy this very tiny fix.

Bug fixes • Is there something strange in your neighborhood? iPad users were spooked to notice a ghostly white image in place of their newly-uploaded profile pictures. We knew who to call; this bug is now busted.

Bug fixes • If mandatory two-factor authentication was enabled for a workspace, but an owner or admin had not yet set up their 2FA, the login screen would disappear when attempting to sign in using a magic link. This type of vanishing act isn't the sort people pay to see. Behold, the prestige: Magic link login screens have reappeared in their rightful place.

Bug fixes • Callout sections in canvases can now be edited on mobile. The ink never dries on a Slack canvas — revise to your heart's delight, no matter the device in hand.

Bug fixes • If you were removed from a private channel where you had a message drafted, a "1" would remain stuck next to Drafts with no way to clear it. We'll hang on to that draft for you in case you re-join the channel, but we'll hide the notification in the meantime. • Those using the VoiceOver feature were unable to select or play audio clips. All voices deserve to be heard in Slack — this update brings harmony to the app.
