English: Settle Hydro is a micro hydroelectric scheme using a reverse Archimedean screw at grid reference SD 817 641 in Settle, North Yorkshire. In this view we see the head race - originally built to feed Bridge End Mill in the background, a massive black sluice gate to cut off the flow for maintenance, the generator house and the screw itself - or rather the cage protecting people from the screw.
