Bold editing is the foundation of Wikipedia. Wikipedia gets better when people improve it. Sometimes, however, our well-intentioned changes actually make the wiki worse. That's ok, mistakes are allowed, and any harmful edit can easily be reverted.
Having your work reverted or refactored can be stressful or can start a conflict. Because of this, many editors are hesitant to alter others' work. This is bad, because it undermines one of the things that gives us confidence to make bold edits in the first place.
To help other editors help you help the wiki, invite boldness by welcoming scrutiny of your editing and by engaging appreciatively and civilly with editors who push back against a change you made.
