Frisian in Germany

We have: "Saterland and North Frisian[9] are officially recognised and protected as minority languages in Germany". I assume this is true. However, it might be worth noting that the Friesisch-Gesetz given as source doesn't name the languages other than as "die in Schleswig-Holstein gesprochenen friesischen Sprachformen". That also means it doesn't refer to Saterland Frisian, which is spoken in Lower Saxony. Mysha (talk)

There is a discussion about whether there is a linkage between Germanic, Frisian and English peoples and languages at Talk:English people#Germanic and Frisian links. Comparative Germanic sentences cleanup

Could somebody clean up the comparative Germanic sentences? At the moment, it's gibberish to me: It's full of (unexplained) slashes, parentheses and commas, rendering most of the text unreadable. It's fine to have only one word for cheek/kiss/stroke.

The Dutch text is particularly unreadable in the current format: How many groupings are there in "meisje langs/over haar/de kin en kuste/zoende haar"?

Okay, I did a naive cleanup, mostly using Wiktionary (eg. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/strelen#Dutch says that "Strelen usually carries a more sexual connotation than its synonym, aaien.")

Old South Frisian

May i ask about this strange name.

What is "Old South Frisian", why is it there, if there is no page dedicated to it. and why is it different from old frisian. i spotted it in this page, but oddly enough unlike the other frisian languages, Old South Frisian does not have a link to it's page. Conflict of interest disclosure: I am the creator of LearnFrisian.com, so I have a direct interest in this suggestion. I am raising it here rather than editing the article myself, per WP:COI guidance.

The suggestion: add LearnFrisian.com to the External links section.

Why it may be appropriate:

• It is a free platform with no paywalls, no subscriptions, no advertising, and no product sales of any kind.
• It contains over 7,000 exercises, 800 structured lessons, and 1,500 audio clips recorded in native West Frisian.
• West Frisian is a minority language spoken by roughly 350,000 people. Free, structured learning resources for it are extremely scarce. No comparable free interactive platform exists.
• It is directly relevant to readers who arrive at this article wanting to learn or hear the language.

I leave the decision entirely to the community. If editors feel it does not meet WP:ELYES criteria or that the article already has sufficient resources, I understand and will not re-add it.
