Official exchange rate

In this website (https://economics.creditlibanais.com/Article/212041#en) from 19 February 2024, it states that the official exchange rate has been increased from 15,000 to 89,500 (the same as the Sayrafa exchange rate) in an effort to unify the multiple exchange rates of the Lebanese pound against the US dollar. However, this website (https://www.trade.gov/country-commercial-guides/lebanon-trade-financing) states that as of March 2024, Lebanon had different exchange rates: the official rate of 15,000 LBP / 1 USD; the Central Bank’s “Sayrafa” of 89,500 LBP / 1 USD ...

I haven't found any other website apart from https://economics.creditlibanais.com/Article/212041#en that talks about that change in the official rate. Does anyone know for sure what the official rate currently is? Thank you. Fernan860 (talk) 11:39, 13 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
