Ciudad de los reyes

The article says the city was named after the 3 wise kings, but I’ve found a link stating that the name comes from King Charles I and his mother Queen Juana:

If that is the case, the proper translation on Ciudad de los Reyes would be city of the king and queen, as Reyes is both the plural of king and royal couple. Jorgebox4 (talk) 08:45, 14 April 2025 (UTC)

Population claim

We say in the lead, "... largest Spanish-speaking city in the world in terms of city proper population." This does not seem right to me. Mexico City is larger. We cite two sources, but they do not support the claim. Bruce leverett (talk) 17:21, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
