  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

Change 1. "Wayflyer is an Irish non-bank lender and inventory finance company which was founded in 2019 in Dublin, Ireland with a focus on consumer brands. It provides finance through invoice discounting and factoring with a focus on revenue-based financing. The company lends mainly to e-commerce and technology based companies which generate income from advertising and non-recurring revenue streams."

to

"Wayflyer is an Irish financial technology company that provides financing to small and medium-sized businesses. It was founded in 2019 in Dublin, Ireland by Aidan Corbett and Jack Pierse[2][3] and since then has deployed $7 billion to 7,000 brands in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Australia.[4] Its offerings include term loans, merchant cash advances, revenue-based remittances, rolling financing and flexible funding limits.[5][6] Wayflyer lends mainly to e-commerce, wholesale, retail, software and services companies.[4]"

Rationale: "Non-bank lender" to "financial technology company" to reflect Conjura acquisition - Wayflyer is not only a financing provider but provides analytics services as well. "Inventory finance" removed as it is one of many use cases for financing provided by Wayflyer, and does not make sense as a core descriptor of offerings. "with a focus on consumer brands" to "Wayflyer lends mainly to e-commerce, wholesale, retail, software and services companies." as the company has expanded to additional verticals since inception "It provides finance through invoice discounting and factoring with a focus on revenue-based financing" to "Its offerings include term loans, merchant cash advances, revenue-based remittances, rolling financing and flexible funding limits." It does not offer invoice discounting and factoring, and revenue-based financing is one of many products. Proposed addition: "It was founded in 2019 in Dublin, Ireland by Aidan Corbett and Jack Pierse[2][3] and since then has deployed $7 billion to 7,000 brands in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Australia.[4]" Adding founder information to opening paragraph and added detail on scale and location of operations - I felt important for the overview.

Change 2. "As of November 2024, it has offices in Dublin, London, New York and Sydney." to "As of September 2026, it has offices in Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte[7] and Sydney." Updated to reflect new Charlotte office.

History

[edit]

Change 3: "Wayflyer was established by Jack Pierse and Aidan Corbett in 2019 to provide alternative financing to technology companies."

to

"Wayflyer was established by Jack Pierse and Aidan Corbett in 2019 to provide alternative financing to e-commerce companies.[1]" Technology companies is inaccurate, the historical focus was ecommerce.

Change 4: Add after the above "The company was initially incubated within Conjura, a Dublin-based e-commerce analytics company, before becoming a standalone business.[2] It made its first cash advance in 2020 and launched in the United States the same year.[3]" Interesting detail on the company's inception.

Change 5: "In 2024, Wayflyer expanded into financing of wholesalers for the first time and in November 2024 it was announced that it was Ireland's fastest growing tech company."

to "In 2024, Wayflyer launched financing for Amazon sellers and wholesalers,[3] and in November 2024 it was named Ireland's fastest growing technology company in Deloitte's annual ranking.[4][5]"

Added detail on the ranking, and included coinciding expansion into Amazon retailers.

Change 6: Add: "In 2025, the company broadened its focus from e-commerce to small businesses across other industries.[3] and opened a United States hub in Charlotte, North Carolina.[6][7] " Important pivot in company operations

Change 7 (after December 2025 paragraph): Add: "In June 2026, Wayflyer acquired Conjura, the AI-driven e-commerce analytics platform.[2] In July 2026, Wayflyer agreed a $1.5 billion "forward flow" arrangement with Fortress Investment Group, under which Fortress acquires loans originated by Wayflyer and collects repayments from borrowers, over a three-year period. The deal followed a $250 million two-year credit facility with Atlas Partners, a warehouse finance firm majority-owned by funds of Apollo Global Management. Wayflyer said the combined facilities gave it capacity to deploy up to $4.5 billion to small businesses over the following two years.[8]"

Latest news to bring up to date in 2026.

  • Why it should be changed:

Apologies for this, I did not realise I had a COI as a Wayflyer employee so I had already edited the page.

There were inaccuracies and outdated information on the original page - the main service was described as invoice financing and factoring which is not something Wayflyer provides, and also said that Wayflyer serves primarily technology companies which is also inaccurate. Also added that there is now a Charlotte office.

In the history section I also added latest press releases on financial news - valuations, revenues and a recent acquisition. This seemed to be only up to date as of 2022 before this.

I have strived to keep this purely neutral and fact-based, focusing on the company's key milestones and have added additional news sources to back it up.

Thanks, Jacqueline

Thank you for the clear outline of proposed changes, and the context, etc. The proposals will be looked into, and I think we can definitely improve the article. SeoR (talk) 10:06, 15 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
