Solapuram சோழபுரம் is a village in Sivagangai district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is located 6 KM towards North from District head quarters Sivagangai and 470 kilometres from the state capital Chennai, on the NH 36 road, popularly called, Sivagangai-Thirupatthur Road. It is one among the 96 villages of Chettinad. The pin code is 630557 and the postal head office is Okkur. Madurai, Thiruppuvanam, Paramakudi and Sivagangai are the towns near Solapuram. Solapuram comes under the Solapuram Gram Panchayat and is represented by the Sivagangai Constituency in the Parliament and Legislative Assemblies. According to the Census of India, 2011, this panchayat was estimated to have a population of 1889, of which 966 were women and 923 were men.[1]
