I really like this point. One of the things I appreciate about #Mastodon is I hearing how other people in different countries deal with Big Tech from America. They have forced them to pay fines & to follow rules. That's why I chose an instance based in Germany. I don't read German, but I LIKE that it follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) #GDPR & Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – #BDSG (which I just learned how to pronounce, thanks to tech!)
