I found myself thinking again about my previous post on hate speech, and a thought occurred to me

Almost everyone knows this.
People judge you based on your “appearance.”
I’ve always had a strong aversion to that.

But then I thought about how often I’ve been met with a bit of “hostility” here just because I’m on mastodon.social.
I don’t understand that.

Why am I judged based on the server I’m on, rather than what I post and share?

Isn’t that kind of behavior wrong, too?

And what has Canada gotten from bowing down to US tech oligarchs and passing the horribly unfair and rightfully despised Copyright Modernization Act?

Nothing.

Worse than nothing.

Canadians are having to deal with more and more enshittification of the US-based tech they are forced to use because of these laws that protect US tech oligarchs' power, and prevent anyone from making better, non-US-made, tech.
