The real name of Kaz Hawkins is Karen McIntyre, that's a mistake in this page. It is not a mistake as Kaz Hawkins legally changed her name by deed poll in May 2014. We discovered this in our ongoing research as we are making a documentary on her life. Kaz references it at times during interviews like this interview with Shout Out To Women where she explains the legal change is in memory of her muse Etta James. COI edit request: incorrect residence in Limoges

I am Kaz Hawkins, the subject of this article, and I have disclosed this connection on my user page.

The documentary paragraph currently ends by stating that Limoges, France is “where Hawkins now lives”. This is factually incorrect: I do not live in Limoges. The cited France.tv source supports the documentary information but does not support that residence claim.

Please remove the words “where Hawkins now lives”, leaving the sentence to end after “Limoges, France”. I am not requesting that a more precise location be added.

Clarification to my request above: Hawkins has released five original studio albums:

• ''Get Ready'' (2014)
• ''Feelin’ Good'' (2017)
• ''Don’t You Know'' (2017)
• ''Until We Meet Again'' (2023)
• ''Coming Home'' (2025)

However, ''Feelin’ Good'' was released in three separate editions, each retaining core tracks but containing different bonus material:

• ''Feelin’ Good'' (2017) – Kaz Hawkins Band edition
• ''Feelin’ Good'' (2017) – US edition
• ''Feelin’ Good'' (2018) – reissue

The three editions may remain listed separately in the discography, but they should not be described as three different original studio albums.

Please therefore change the career-section wording to:

“Hawkins has released five original studio albums, with multiple editions of ''Feelin’ Good'' featuring different bonus material.”

The opening currently states that Hawkins is “signed to Dixiefrog Records ... and Earlybird Records”. This present-tense description is outdated and unnecessarily makes a claim about current contractual status.

Please replace the opening paragraph with:

“Kaz Hawkins is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter whose music incorporates blues, folk, jazz and soul. She has released music through Dixiefrog Records and EarlyBird Records. More recently, Hawkins has explored her Celtic roots through her 2025 album ''Coming Home'', incorporating Celtic influences and orchestral arrangements.”

Please also change the infobox label field from “Dixiefrog Records” to “Dixiefrog Records; EarlyBird Records”, reflecting the labels through which Hawkins has released music without implying that she is currently signed to either label.

The current documentary paragraph contains grammatical errors, repeats France Télévisions/France.tv unnecessarily, and describes Limoges as where Hawkins “now lives”. Hawkins previously lived near Limoges, but this is no longer current.

Please replace the paragraph with:

“In 2025, France Télévisions released ''My Life and You'', an intimate documentary about Hawkins’s life and journey as a survivor. The film was produced by Oxymore in partnership with Festival Éclats d’Émail Jazz in Limoges, France.”

The collaborations paragraph currently describes ''The Craig Charles Trunk of Funk Vol. 3'' as Craig Charles’s album and says that he “featured” Hawkins’s song. It is more accurately described as a compilation curated by Craig Charles.

Please replace the first two sentences of that paragraph with:

“Hawkins has collaborated with artists working across several genres. In July 2024, her song ‘Shake’ appeared on ''The Craig Charles Trunk of Funk Vol. 3'', a compilation curated by English DJ Craig Charles.”

COI edit request: correct Florence Alabama institution

I am Kaz Hawkins, the subject of this article, and I have disclosed this connection on my user page.

The Career section currently links “Florence Academy of Art” to an institution in Italy. This is the wrong organisation. Hawkins’s project was with the Florence Academy of Fine Arts (FAFA) in Florence, Alabama.

Please replace the existing paragraph with:

“Hawkins participated in ''Something in the Water'', a collaborative album organised by the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Alabama, to support access to arts education for local children. The recording included Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section bassist David Hood and musicians Clayton Ivey and Will McFarlane.”

Please do not retain the existing link to the Florence Academy of Art, as it refers to the unrelated Italian institution.

COI edit request: remove undue Cahors festival paragraph

Please remove the entire paragraph beginning “In April 2022, Hawkins was given the honorable title of Godmother...”

The cited source describes Hawkins as the “marraine” of the 2022 edition of the Cahors Blues Festival. This was a role associated with that particular festival edition, not an ongoing title.

The paragraph gives disproportionate biographical weight to a single festival appearance and includes unnecessary promotional detail about several unrelated headliners. Removing it would improve the balance and focus of the Career section.
