Hi StormL00ver! I noticed that you've made several edits in order to restore a version of Tornadoes of 2026. The impulse to repeatedly undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure that you're aware of Wikipedia's edit warring policy. Repeatedly undoing the changes made by other users in a back-and-forth fashion like this is disallowed, even if you feel what you're doing is justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages in order to try to reach a consensus with the other editors involved. If you are unable to come to an agreement at Talk:Tornadoes of 2026, please use one of the dispute resolution options that are available in order to seek input from others. Thank you for the reminder regarding the edit warring policy. I am well aware of the 3RR rules and the importance of consensus. However, consensus on Wikipedia must be built on verifiable, reliable sources, not on personal preferences.

I have already laid out the official ESSL and ESWD meteorological data on the article talk page, which confirms the 180 mph baseline intensity for this specific event. Blanking or repeatedly removing heavily sourced official data without addressing the core scientific evidence on the Talk page is disruptive.

Request Regarding Akçamezra Tornado Article

Hi! I just am replying to your request for me to have a look at your Akçamezra Tornado article. It looks really good! The only thing I would consider changing is the scope of the article. I know it is ambitious, but I would actually consider changing the article to cover the entire outbreak. The outbreak produced numerous strong tornadoes and was highly historic and unusual, and I think it is article worthy as a whole. If I were you I would keep the long summary you wrote for the Akçamezra Tornado, and include it as a full summary for the most significant tornado of the outbreak at the bottom of the page, but also include a tornado table of all the other tornadoes in the outbreak. Now that is just my opinion, and obviously it would be a lot of work and you don't have to do it, but there aren't enough international tornado outbreak articles on Wikipedia and you would be setting a really good precedent! Weather of 2000 - there is a 14-year gap between Weather of 1985 and 2000, and another gap of 39 years going back to 1946 Tornadoes of 1946 - there is a four-year gap between Tornadoes of 1942 and 1946, and another gap of 14 years going back to 1928 Tropical cyclones in 1991 - there is a 13-year gap between Tropical cyclones in 1978 and 1991; 1977 TC yearly list also exists Of note, the yearly "Weather of YYYY" could be a useful parent article for every weather article. For a well-written (and well-sourced) example, see this timeline in the Weather of 2023 article. Image of the month Devastating floods, possibly caused by a glacial collapse, hit the China–Nepal border on August 26. These floods destroyed numerous settlements and killed over 1,000 people (with thousands still missing). The above image is a Landsat 9 view of debris flow from the floods. A discussion in December 2025 talked about articles for fish storms or were otherwise had minor impacts. As Hurricane Noah summarized, "if a storm isn't being discussed after the fact for meteorological notability and impacts were minor or nil, there shouldn't be an article. Since then, 8 featured articles and 76 good articles have been merged. In a recent AFD, Quxyz mentioned their own minimum threshold for a tropical cyclone article (1,000 words and 20,000 bytes). Help requested for specific topics There are a few ongoing projects that are needed in Wiki-Project weather, separate from any requested articles. After years of discussion on standardizing the colors for tropical cyclone tracks, there is an ongoing project to replace the roughly 2,200 track maps across the hundreds of storm/season articles. One of the members helping with the track maps, 2003 LN6 (talk · contribs), estimated that "about 15–20% of the historic track maps are recolored properly, but progress is being made. I have personally been working on the North Atlantic tracks, but I have observed the work of many others as well." Another member working on older Atlantic and season track maps, JasonHo1222 (talk · contribs), asked, "can I be quoted in the newsletter too?" Thanks to 2003 LN6, JasonHo1222, and all of the other users helping with this task. The tropical cyclone season button bars have outdated coding that should ideally be replaced. The talk page goes into detail, but basically swapping out two parts of the template ("List of storms" and "Statistics" sub-articles, which we don't have anymore) in favor of the yearly "Weather of YYYY" and "Tropical cyclones in YYYY" articles. List of tropical cyclones producing snow - inspired by the recent Hurricane Lala that produced snowfall in Hawaii, there is a consensus that such an article could be useful. Comments or suggestions? Tornado submission request

Hey! We both usually edit on the List of European tornadoes in 2026 page. So there were 2 tornadoes in Lithuania, an IF0 and IF1 (check out Extremalus orai Lietuvoje on TikTok for more info on them, he got a ton of info on the tornadoes), and I was wondering if you could add them onto the ESWD database? (They both occured on September 10th) I also know they aren't related to a squall or downbursts so it's very clear this was a tornado. Time dosent mattera at this point because, now not only if someone tries deleting the events because they're not on ESWD you can serve as proof, but technically now a part of the guidelines are now completely useless since most events get added in a few days after. yep. i got word from the TikTok poster himself, oh and btw, can you get the ESWD team to maybe check on southwest Plungė in Telšiai County? There's a very visible possible hook echo full of rain where a rain-wrapped tornado couldve snapped trees and went un noticed for all this time. Oh and i think another tornado couldve occured just east of Klaipėda, more closer to Dovilai, i think there was a severe thunderstorm there because overall my radar is showing that it's the worst of every single one. Hey dude, noticed the deleted event, so in case if it's not already being checked by quality control, here is everything i have from the tornado.

Date: September 10th 2026 at 5:25am UTC or 7:25am EEST, southeast of Veiviržėnai, rating is IF0.5, but a local said it was exactly like an IF1 that struck a tiny town nearby in 2022, so keep that in note, meteorologists also said it was like a very weak IF0, damages are farming equipment and backyard damage to a house, and no one was injured.
