It’s the first day of fall, but SC won’t be seeing fall foliage just yet
SOUTH CAROLINA (WCBD) - Tuesday, Sept. 22 marks the first day of fall, but the South Carolina Forestry Commission (SCFC) says it'll be just a little while longer until South Carolina fall foliage arrives.
The SCFC says to use a fall foliage map for any upcoming fall trips or to see when autumn colors will come into the picture in your area.
According to the SCFC's predicted map, parts of South Carolina will start to see more fall colors starting in late October and into early November.

"While no tool can be 100% accurate, this map is meant to help folks better time their trips to have the best opportunity of catching peak fall color," the SCFC said.
