Modern authors have distinguished further varieties of love: infatuated love, self-love, and courtly love. Non-Western traditions have also distinguished variants or symbioses of these states. Love has additional religious or spiritual meaning. This diversity of uses and meanings combined with the complexity of the feelings involved makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, compared to other emotional states.
Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.
Love may be understood as a function to keep human beings together against menaces and to facilitate the continuation of the species.

Two housewives, identified only as Muyibat and Biliki, have suffered severe burns after a fight over a man.Biliki, who was living with her husband in the Surulere area of the state, relocated to her parents’ house in Abule Oja, Yaba, in 2015, after separating from the husband. Muyibat lives with her husband and three children in the house.

According to PUNCH Metro,the two women emptied a kettle of hot water on each other during the brawl which occurred at their residence in the Yaba area of Lagos State.

It was learnt that, 32-year-old Biliki accused Muyibat, 29, of marrying her former boyfriend, which caused bad blood between them.

Matters, however, came to a head after a disagreement on Saturday when the duo poured hot water on each other.They were both admitted to a general hospital in the state.

A 26-year old secondary school leaver, Oluwaseyi Babatola, who burnt to death five family members while they were sleeping, says he is being haunted daily by the memories of the children he murdered.

Babatola, who spoke with a Punch correspondent in Abuja, stated that he was disturbed by the thoughts of the two children that died along with their grandmother, mother and uncle, when he set their apartment on fire on April 15, 2015, at Sabongari, Bwari, in the Federal Capital Territory.

The fire consumed the whole building, including the apartment of the Babatolas, and also injured the suspect.

Babatola, who is being detained by the FCT Special Anti-Robbery Squad, identified his victims as Janet Isuawa; her sons, Samuel and Osaze; her cousin, Taphael; and Janet’s mother.

Jay Z’s Alleged ‘Love Child’ Is Taking His Case to a U.S. Congressional Hearing

Rymr Satterhwaite is holding onto the notion that he’s Jay Z’s son and will be taking his case to a congressional hearing the U.S. Capitol.

According to Radar Online, the FCLU (Family Civil Liberties Union) recently championed Satterthwaite’s paternity case against Jay Z in order to get it recognition on a national level — and it worked.

A source told Radar, “A family advocate in Baltimore, Maryland, NickyRoberts, was given opportunity to have several people from around the country speak about their problems with family court and/or attorneys. Rymir has been approved to speak and will get about five minutes in front of Congress!”

Tentatively scheduled for April 29, Satterthwaite, 22, plans on discussing“corruption and other problems within the court system,” especially as it relates to his case, according to the insider.

Man Stabs Mother To Death For Refusing To Accept His Pregnant Lover

A 30-year-old man, Ibrahim Oniyide, who allegedly stabbed his mother to death at 3, Olubunmi Christopher Drive, off Arowolo Street, Abule Egba area of Lagos state, has been remanded in prison.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Maria Dauda, told the court that Ibrahim killed his mother, Tawa Oniyide, by stabbing her with a kitchen knife all over her body.

“The suspect on the fateful day had gone to introduce a woman to his mother as his future wife, demanding that she accommodate her.

“The deceased disagreed with her son on the issue, refusing to accept the eight months old pregnant woman into her house.

“She said she was not interested in her and that her son should have brought the woman when the pregnancy was still in the early stage.

A teenager, Haliya Odunaya, now has to abandon school for a while, pending when the deep cut inflicted on her neck by another young girl, Funmilola who accused her of messing around with her boyfriend, would heal. Haliya, an SS2 student, is lying critically ill at Stars Clinic on Apapa Road, Ebute Metta West, Lagos where doctors are battling hard to save her life.
National Mirror reports that when Haliya, 15, lives with her parents at Shomore, on Ilogbo area of Oyingbo in Lagos Mainland Local Government Area of the state, was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, March 15, 2014, not many believed that she would make it.

It was learnt that one Funmilola, a couple of weeks before the incident, had approached Haliya when she started noticing she was being close with her lover. Funmilola had reportedly warned Haliya to stay off her man, reportedly threatening to go any length with anyone she found around the man. It was even gathered that a day before she attacked Haliya, Funmilola reportedly stripped another lady stark naked in the same locality for the same reason.
