New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday was hit with awful news about his wife, retired soccer star Lauren Holiday. The young couple, whom are six months pregnant, were shocked when doctors found a benign tumor in Lauren’s brain. 

The baby is not due for another few weeks but word is they’re planning to induce labor early so the doctors can operate on her brain without affecting the baby. Jrue said that the Pelicans organization has given him a lot of support during this rough time.

PEOPLE: NBA star Jrue Holiday will not be there to start the New Orleans Pelicans’ 2016-2017 season. Instead, he will be by his wife Lauren Holiday’s side.

The Holidays were left devastated when they received news that doctors had discovered a benign tumor on the right side of Lauren’s brain, according to NOLA.com.

A 54 year old man is currently on the run for attacking his wife with acid, resulting in her death. Agya Kwaku alias ‘schoolboy’ poured acid on his wife, Maame Abena Safoah, 45, at their matrimonial home at Atwima Mim near Nkawie in the Atwima Nwabiagya District of the Ashanti Region,Ghana.

Safoah suffered serious burns on her entire body due to the quantity of acid poured on her. The corrosive liquid also burned her mattress and floor carpet. The couple had quarreled that day over their inability to have children in the 20 year old relationship.

An eyewitness, Akua Asantewa, who lives in the smae building with the couple said that around 11 pm onTuesday night, she heard loud screams coming from Safoah’s room. On getting there, the door was locked.

Man Kills Wife For Refused To Give Him More Children

According to The Sun, Okala shot his wife in front of his mother in-law at her farm in Ninda village, Kokona Local Government Area, Nasarawa State on April 4th. 

The state commissioner of police, Lawal Shehu who spoke on the incident, said Okala had accused his wife of aborting their babies after she refused to give him more children. This had caused a big problem between the couple as Okala demanded that his wife bore him more children. 

Things between the couple came to a sad end on April 4th after Okala, wearing a mask, stormed his mother in-law's farm and shot his 18 year old wife in front of her mother and sister. He tried to run away after committing the crime but was quickly apprehended by officers at the Garaku Police station.

Will Smith Shot Dead After Car Crash, Wife Wounded

FORMER NFL star Will Smith has been shot dead, according to reports.

Smith, 34, was reportedly involved in a car crash before he was fatally shot.

The defensive end, who played for the New Orleans Saints, was killed in New Orleans' Garden District, the Times-Picayune newspaper reports.

A police spokesman, who did not officially identify Smith as the dead man, said the victim and his wife were involved in a minor car collision before the incident.

The driver of the other car fired multiple shots following an exchange of words, according to the report.

It is understood Smith and his wife were driving in a Mercedes G63 SUV.

Just like a Christmas goat, the victim, Lucky Bassey was murdered by his wife, Grace after she used a kitchen knife to slice his throat while he was sleeping on their bed.

Lucky bled profusely and helplessly as Grace watched and ensured that he died before she alerted their neigbours, a police source said.

The incident happened at 23 Abari street in Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos where they reside.

A bride was strangled to the death by her husband on the night of their wedding in a suspected case of ‘honour killing’, Jacobabad police said on Saturday.

Khanzadi, daughter of Lal Mohammad Lashari, married her cousin Qalandar Bux Khokhar the night before her lifeless body was found in her bedroom. The suspect, her husband, remains on the run.

Blind Wife Defends Husband Accused of Setting Landlord Ablaze

Nekpen, the blind wife of Jeff Obasohan, has insisted that the allegation that her husband set their landlord ablaze is false. Obasohan had been accused of setting his landlord, Pa Joseph Iyen, ablaze on Uwa Street, in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday at the residence of the deceased.

It was gathered that there had been a protracted quarrel between the late landlord and Obasohan over his unpaid rent.

The 83-year-old landlord was said to have died after sustaining severe burns while Obasohan, also known as One Love, was arrested by policemen from the Esigie Police Division.

Herbalist Marries 18 Year Old Girl As 57th Wife

A 69 year old herbalist, Chief Simon Odo, who married an 18 year old girl, Chidinma, as his 57th wife last November has said that he would not marry again, having had a fair of women in his life.

Chidinma was married from Okutu, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. Odo, also known variously as Onuwa, King Solomon of Africa or King of Satan was however married to 68 women but some of them had earlier died. 

However, Odo spoke in an interview with the South East Voice at his palatial home at Aji, Enugu Ezike in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State. Emeka, first son, Franca, one of the wives and Onuwa Onuwa who was armed with an Onward note book where names of his wives and over 200 children were listed according to their dates of birth said that his first son, Emeka was born on December 15, 1969.

A grieving husband was left completely stunned when the wife he thought had died in a car accident two years previous was spotted on a TV show.

Abragh Mohamed, from Azilal, Morocco, thought he had lost his beloved wife from injuries sustained in a car crash and even held a funeral for her in their hometown in 2014.

Doctors informed him that she probably wouldn’t survive but her medical bills would still need to be paid.

When he returned with the money, he was told his wife had died.

He told Nuevo Dia: ‘I had to receive her body, apparently wrapped in a shroud and coffin already inside.’

The mother of two was also said to have been attacked by her sisters-in-law, Bose Showole (39) and Oduntan Enitan (24), at their family house on Isale-Agbede Street, on the Lagos Island area of Lagos State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the case was reported at the Adeniji Adele Police Station, leading to the arrest of the suspects. The victim explained that she was attacked because she stopped giving money to the septuagenarian.
